So, Suda51 dropped a bomb on our hobby today. And I'm upset because it's not a game. Seems that the whole Project-S game isn't even a game, at least, a game isn't announced yet. Suda51 and Hideo Kojima are working...
I use the term Paper Tigers as if I actually understand what it means.Which is a complete lie. I just thought it'd make a cool title. Maybe you'll even think so. Maybe you understand what Paper Tigers are, and the...

It has come to my attention that there exists a number of otherwise perfectly intelligent individuals who, for whatever reason, wish to destroy the gaming industry.
I don't speak of Senators Clinton or Lieberman, or of software pirates. Nor do I speak of the infamous Jack Thompson- after all, I did say intelligent.
I don't mean politicians seeking votes and attention on the backs of of legislation and censorship, nor those who flood the market with hundreds of thousands of copies of black-market Nintendo DS games. I speak of game developers who desire a standardized gaming platform. In the words of the most vociferous of these madmen, Denis Dyack, CEO and founder of Silicon Knights:

I am, above all else, an extraordinarily weak man.

(not my picture, mind you.)
It's a Dell E1405, it's rather confoundingly small compared to my behemoth 5105 purchased 3 years ago, and it's widescreen LCD is like looking through smoked glass. I love it, I probably can't afford it, and I don't fucking care, as it doesn't cause blisters on my wrists. It may well be the nicest thing I've ever owned, but then I also dropped about eighty dollars on World of Warcraft cards last week. So yeah.
It's also using Vista Home Premium, which is very pretty, but obtrusive to a fault. Now this may be because I'm more careful than the average Windows user to begin with, but it seems silly to me that I should have to confirm when I want an .exe run that I clicked on in the first place, or that I need to okay it with Vista first before it'll allow me to upload an attachment to an email. It's sorta like the girlfriend that you first have to tell what you want off the menu before she'll tell the waiter what you'll be having for dinner.

I am known as a hardcore gamer. I love games, and the good ones that follow. It’s thusly true that i shop all the time, in stores such as target, gamestop and many more retail businesses. Shopping all the time has made me realize just how many good games have in fact, gone under the radar [...]
